Medical Device Contract Manufacturing | Remote/Field-Based | Reports to Director of Commercial Operations

THE OPPORTUNITY

is a U.S.-based medical device contract manufacturer specializing in custom cable assemblies, electromechanical assemblies, and precision manufacturing for Class II and Class III OEM customers. We're growing and adding our first dedicated hunter to bring new OEM logos into the business.

This is a pure new-account role. You will not be handed a retention book. We expect you to arrive with OEM relationships built while representing another outsourced manufacturing or services provider, and to open doors with existing contacts immediately upon joining.

What you'll do

• Identify, prospect, and close new OEM accounts with potential to scale to $1M+ in annual production volume
• Build and own your pipeline from first contact through signed production agreement
• Serve as primary customer contact through onboarding and early production ramp, coordinating with Engineering, Quality, and Production
• Maintain a clean pipeline in HubSpot and participate in weekly pipeline reviews
• Feed competitive and market intelligence back to leadership

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FORRequired:

• 5+ years selling to medical device OEM companies, calling on R&D, engineering, or sourcing functions
• Current or recent experience at a CDMO or contract manufacturer where you've sold PCB assembly, injection-molded components, cable assemblies, electromechanical contract assembly, or similar services to OEM engineering and sourcing teams
• You have OEM relationships you're ready to activate: able to open doors with existing contacts immediately upon joining
• Comfortable with 6-18 month technical sales cycles: RFQ, NRE, design transfer, production ramp
• Working familiarity with FDA and ISO 13485 expectations in a contract manufacturing context
• HubSpot proficiency (or equivalent CRM)

Preferred:

• Background at a company like Integer, Viant, Resonetics, Lake Region Medical, API Technologies, or a comparable medical-manufacturing CDMO
• Existing relationships in cable/interconnect, electromechanical assembly, or precision machining
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field (not required)

COMPENSATION

$90,000–$110,000 base salary depending on location and experience, plus uncapped commission on production revenue from accounts you originate and new account performance bonuses.

We provide a guaranteed first-year compensation structure to support the longer sales cycle typical of medical device contract design and manufacturing. We cover full commission and bonus mechanics during the interview process.

LOGISTICS

• Location: Remote/Field-Based; open to candidates anywhere in the U.S. with strong OEM access
• Travel: 30-40% estimated (customer sites, trade shows, periodic visits to Tustin, CA headquarters)
• No relocation requirement; regular Tustin presence not expected after onboarding
• Mileage/auto allowance provided
